Acceptance Criteria


Due to court availability, the draw size of the event is limited in most of the tournaments. When the number of entries exceeds the posted maximum draw size, the following acceptance criteria apply

Indoor season 

(Indoor season criteria will end at the start of May)
Rogers First Set Tour – Rookie and Rising Stars, Transition Tour 2 Star,  Provincial Circuit 3 Star
 1 OTA Member
 2 Host club wild cards (up to 2) (excluding tournaments which are held outdoors)
 3 Primary age group*
 4  # of tournaments within the month
 5 Date and time of entry
Provincial Circuit Plus 3.5 star, Selection 4 Star,  Indoor Provincial 5 Star
 1 OTA Member
 2  Ranking as of the entry deadline

Outdoor season 

(mid-May to late September) including tournaments which are held indoors
Rogers First Set Tour – Rookie and Rising Stars, Transition Tour 2 Star,  Provincial Circuit 3 Star

 2 Primary age group*
 3 Date and time of entry
Provincial Circuit Plus 3.5 star, Selection 4 Star, Outdoor Provincial 5 Star

Acceptance Status

Players will be listed under the following acceptance status when their entry is received.

Main Draw

Players who are accepted with Main Draw status will be placed in the draw. 

Reserve

When the Main Draw spots are filled up, all players are placed on the reserve and are given a number to indicate their order of acceptance. To learn about the order number of the reserve list please see below.

Exclude

The following scenarios will lead to entries being moved to the exclude list.

  • Players withdraw after the withdrawal deadline
  • Players who are ineligible for the tournament due to tournament ineligibility. Click HERE for tournament ineligibility
  • Players who are found to be in two Main Draw rosters by the time draws are being generated

Note: Only players listed as having Main Draw acceptance will be placed in the Draw.

Order Number of the Reserve list

The entries on the reserve list are given an order number leading to the acceptance to the tournament, pertaining to the acceptance criteria. The acceptance status is updated regularly. It will be adjusted when the entry is closed and be finalized after the withdrawal deadline.
