Serving Up Tennis

The Ontario Tennis Association (OTA), in partnership with the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), is a 2015 recipient of an RBC Learn to Play grant!  For a 2nd year, the OTA and TCDSB will partner to deliver "Serving Up Tennis", a Progressive Tennis schools program. This program will provide teachers and students with the training, equipment, and resources necessary to incorporate tennis into Phys Ed classes, run tennis intramurals and better engage parents and the local tennis community around physical literacy and the fundamental skills of the sport. Serving Up Tennis is a continuation of the OTA/TCDSB's 2014 RBC-granted program which reached 7 TCDSB schools. In 2015, the program will reach an additional 7 schools in high-priority neighbourhoods located in Toronto's west-end.

In celebration of this program, the OTA and TCDSB will be participating in RBC Sports Day in Canada by hosting a Try-It Day at the Aviva Centre on Friday, November 20th, for local schools.  RBC Sports Day in Canada is a national celebration of the power of sport to build community and get Canadians moving.
