The outdoor tennis season is now in full swing and so are the plans for the Steve Stevens Senior National Tennis Championships. We are pleased to be returning to the city of Vancouver after a five-year absence. The event takes place August 21-27, 2022 at the following five superb clubs.
 
Richmond Country Club and the Richmond Tennis Club

  • Men and Women Over 30, 35 and 40 events

 
Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club

 
The Arbutus Club and Jericho Tennis Club

  • Men & Women Over 60, 65, and 70 events

Please ensure that you and your friends who are planning to play this prestigious event are aware of this. Please be aware that each player on a doubles team must submit an individual entry form by the entry deadline. Leading up to the Steve Stevens National Tennis Championships are several events on the Senior Calendar.
 
June 4-12, BC Senior Provincials
 
The BC Senior Provincial Championships presented by Bear Mountain Golf & Tennis Resort is slated to take place in beautiful Victoria over the June 4-12 time frame. Players can enter at the following link About IPIN in Tennis & Related FAQs | ITF (itftennis.com). You must have an IPIN # to register.
Entry deadline is May 28th, 10 GMT.
 
June 6-12, 2022:  Mont Tremblant ITF Cup - Mont Tremblant, QC
 
This ITF Regional Championships (1000 tournament) will be held at the magnificent Tremblant Beach and Tennis Club, 90 minutes outside of Montreal.  Women’s and Men’s singles and doubles events (every 5 years) from Over 35 to 85 are offered.  To be eligible to play, you must have a valid IPIN number. Entry deadline is May 31, 10 GMT. June 24-26, 2002:  Head Ontario Senior Mixed Doubles Championships
 
After a two-year absence, the 55th Annual Head Ontario Senior Mixed Doubles will be held in Toronto at the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club from June 24-26, 2022.  Each year this event attracts the top senior tennis players in Ontario and players from across Canada, thanks to the high quality and well-organized nature of the event, plus its added social component which includes a popular Saturday night dinner.
 
Events; Over 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 Mixed Doubles. This year there will be a Century Bonus Event (women and men age total over 100 on or before December 31, 2022).  Entries or tournament enquiries can be emailed to Ravi Mehta: rmehta@torontolawn.com or faxed to 416-922-5217.  Entry deadline is Sunday, June 19 at 12 noon.

OTA Instagram Beloved Canadian tennis star Bruno Agostinelli Jr. passed away tragically in 2016 at the age of 28. His younger brother Gianluca lovingly remembers his brother in this tribute story. Gianluca tells us about Bruno’s wonderful accomplishments as a junior, college and Davis Cup star and about how he inspired the next generation as an elite coach at Tennis Canada. But, more than that, he shares what it meant to be Bruno’s brother and how he was inspired by Bruno in tennis and in life… and still is. After stepping away from the sport, Gianluca was drawn back to it as a way of coming to terms with Bruno’s passing and to feel close to him once again.
