Re-Branding
The ITF recently re-branded Seniors Tennis to Masters Tennis. Key senior stakeholders recommended the change to Masters Tennis and Tennis Canada is following suit. New signage at the tournaments and updated documents on the Tennis Canada website are just some of the changes you will see.
Year-End Masters Tennis Rankings
The 2022 provisional Master’s Tennis Singles and Doubles Year-End Rankings are now posted on Tennis Canada’s website and can be found on the following link; Rankings - Tennis Canada
If you think there are any mistakes or omissions to the rankings, please email Irwin Tobias before December 31: itobias@tenniscanada.com. Please note that the BCSWTA Amica Grand Prix Championships and Wilson/Sobeys ITF results will be added where applicable for the players participating in those events.

2023 Steve Stevens Masters Tennis Championships
We are excited to announce that after a five-year absence, we are returning to Montreal for the Steve Stevens Masters Tennis Championships, August 20-26. We are again delighted to be hosted by the Mount Royal Tennis Club, Monkland Tennis, Woodland Tennis Club, Hillside Tennis Club, and other sites to be announced. The organizing committee has already started planning to make this a fabulous tournament for one and all. Further details will be announced in the New Year.

We are pleased to announce that after a three-year absence the National Masters Tennis Indoor events are returning.
The 2023 Men’s Eastern Canadian Indoor Masters Tennis Championships (60-85) is at the Granite Club in Toronto, March 15-19. The 2023 Women’s Eastern Canadian Indoor Masters Tennis Championships (all categories) is scheduled in Montreal, April 19-23, at a site to be announced and the 2023 Men’s Eastern Canadian Indoor Master’s Tennis Championships (30-55) is also scheduled in Montreal at CDL, April 26-30.
The 2023 Western Canadian Indoor Masters Tennis Championships is returning to Edmonton and the Royal Glenora and a club to be announced, May 3-7.
We are also delighted to announce that we will have a full complement of ITF Masters tennis events on the docket in 2023. Returning in 2023 will be the Van Lawn Masters Tennis tournament, the Calgary ITF Masters Tennis event in memory of Hans Macieg, the BC Masters Tennis Provincials, the Mont Tremblant Cup, the London Hunt Master’s Tennis event and the Credit Valley Cup.
We have three new additions to the Canadian Masters Tennis landscape in 2023. The Gatineau Masters Tennis, Sobeys Atlantic Masters Tennis and the Victoria Masters Tennis events have been added to the 2023 Masters Tennis Calendar to bring the total ITF Masters Tennis events to 9.
