Become a Tennis Canada Certified Official!
We are looking for Roving Officials in Ontario to service one of the largest competitive structures in North America. Some of the most prominent players in Canadian tennis have grown within the OTA’s competitive structure – a structure which has been supported by a long-standing group of officials. Working as an official within the OTA’s competitive structure can be quite rewarding as you will be witness to the rising stars in our province. In addition to OTA junior events, Roving Officials are also granted assignments at adult, Open and other Tennis Canada events in Ontario. Whether you are a tennis aficionado or a casual observer of the game, being a tennis official is a great way to enjoy the game from “inside the ropes.” In an attempt to support this effort, we will be hosting a number of Roving clinics here at the Sobeys Stadium (York University; site of the National Bank Open). We have come up with a weekend schedule which will give interested individuals a few options to choose from:
The clinics will be run by Tony Cho, Director of Officiating at Tennis Canada.
Clinic fee: $40 – this will include all course materials. Once confirmed, a registration link will be sent to fully complete your registration online.
Upon completion of the clinic, we will be providing training opportunities at several OTA tournaments over the next several months.
Registration: please contact Brian Jaimes at; bjaimes@tennisontario.com. Registration DEADLINE: Monday, October 24th.
