Support For Local Tennis Players and Instructors
Sarnia, ON – The Bourassa Family, in association with the Sarnia Community Foundation are delighted to announce the establishment of the Love-All Justin Bourassa Memorial Fund in the amount of $120,000, which will support the growth and development of tennis players in Sarnia-Lambton.
“Justin was a certified tennis instructor, tennis pro and coach at the Sarnia Tennis Club.
He was passionate about teaching junior players, mentoring them to an elite level,” says
Justin’s parents, Dr. Jean-Marc and Lorraine Bourassa, “Although he was a highly
respected registered massage therapist, exceptional cyclist and long-distance runner, he was always happiest on the tennis court. Whether it be in competition, hitting balls with his students, or organizing tournaments, he was known for his remarkable camaraderie, motivating attitude and uplifting words of encouragement to the adults and children he coached”.
On October 28, 2021, Justin was fatally shot at the age of 29. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and tennis community. His love and support for tennis will be tough to replicate.
For 2022, the Fund will make available $10,000 to kick off the tennis summer season.
