Canada’s Davis Cup defeated the Netherlands last weekend in a World Group playoff. Matches began Friday at the Coca Cola Coliseum in Toronto with Canada’s #1 Milos Raonic defeating Thiemo De Bakker in straight sets. That was followed by Canada’s #2 Denis Shapovalov winning an epic 5 set match against the Netherlands #1 Robin Hasse. On Saturday Vasek Pospisil and Daniel Nestor – in his last professional and Davis Cup match – lost a tough 4 setter to the team of Matwe Middelkoop and Jean-Julien Roger. On Sunday Raonic sealed the deal for Canada with a straight sets win against Scott Griekspoor. The OTA was on hand for the tie and invited fans to get their picture taken with the Canadian team at our virtual photo booth. Original team photo courtesy of Tennis Canada.
