U9/U10 Ottawa Circuit Finale!
The OTA U9/U10 Ottawa Circuit U9 wrapped up at Rideau Sports Centre (RSC) last Saturday. The circuit was very successful this year for the young competitors in the Ottawa region. With 11 Circuit stops between May and October, the Ottawa Leaderboard race was exciting and saw a lot of great matches and fond memories. Lots of skill, positivity and excitement! With a total of 15 U9 competitors and 38 U10s, it was an exciting year. Congratulations to all the Circuit competitors and thank you to those who were able to come for Finale! Players had a blast on court: skill development, competing and finished with Rush and Crash. Pizza is always a hit after some great tennis!
Thank you to RSC for hosting and to coaches Pierre Tafelski, Dan Vila, Alex Harea for their help with organizing and running the event, as well as all the great work RSC coaching team does for junior development regionally. Shout out to Bridge Public House Abed Steenika and her staff for a beautifully decorated venue and catering. Finally, thank you to the OTA player Development Team: Kartik, Ziad, David and Brian for running U9 & U10 circuit and all the help with budget, swag, prizes and trophies; as well as all the hard work that goes weekly into running busiest competitive structure in the country. Next stop for U10s in Ottawa at RSC is right around the corner, January 6th-8th!
