Job Description:

Reporting to the club President, the Head Coach’s primary responsibility is to assist in the development of programs for youth and adults of all skill levels and coach all programs. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership and organization skills, and proven experienceleveraging positive and motivating coaching techniques to promote skill development and fun in the sport of tennis.  Programs include clinics, lessons, team coaching, tournament management and summer camps. Compensation: TBD based on experience | 15-20hrs hours per week + 2 weeks of summer camp (July and August)

Job Title: Touring Coaches

Location: Various

Journeymen, an organisation operated by The Supreme Court, is actively seeking Touring Coaches to help lead, manage and accompany junior tennis players on competitive tours.

Journeymen was recently founded in the hopes of creating an easier avenue for Canadian tennis players to compete at international events. The goal of the organization is to consistently offer interested players weekly, biweekly and monthly travel options to ITF or equal level events around the globe. Through partnership with individual pros, programs, academies and organizations we aim to bring like minded players together to help keep international competitions consistent and affordable through bundling common fees amongst players.

The role of a “Journeymen” Touring Coach is to provide a supportive experience and excellent environment for aspiring tennis players. Although coaching and touring experience is an asset, most of the athletes attending these trips come from great developmental programs or work directly with highly certified, qualified and experience performance tennis coaches. As a result, the Touring Coaches role will be to oversee and assist in the traveling players match warmups, cool downs and practice sessions while on tour however, the Touring Coach is not expected to play an active role in the short or long-term development of the traveling players outside of going above and beyond to ensure the players are adequately prepared to compete come match time. The Touring Coaches are expected to have excellent communication with Journeymen management and player coaches while on tours. A vast majority of trip / tour planning will be the responsibility of Journeymen management through partnership with Tennis Access Tours.

While providing outstanding customer service to the members of the Club, you will be responsible for organizing and scheduling your own private lessons and helping to encourage participation in the club’s tennis activities. Job Title: Clubhouse Attendant

Location: Toronto

The Cottingham Tennis Club in Toronto (near St. Clair and Avenue Rd) is seeking a part time Clubhouse Attendant for the Spring, Summer and Fall 2022 tennis season (May through October).

The Clubhouse Attendant will work in conjunction with the Cottingham Manager and Tennis Director to perform the following duties:

  • Clubhouse is kept clean, secure, and stocked 
  • Courts are kept safe, swept and maintained; minor club landscaping duties as well

  • Prepare the club for opening and closing, sell supplies and tennis balls and collect guest fees

Lawrence Park Tennis Club (LPTC) is a not-for-profit community tennis club operating under permit from the Toronto Parks and Recreation Department.  We are located on Alexander Muir Park Road in Lawrence Park.

OTA Instagram Beloved Canadian tennis star Bruno Agostinelli Jr. passed away tragically in 2016 at the age of 28. His younger brother Gianluca lovingly remembers his brother in this tribute story.
