It was a great turnout, with so many kids, parents, students, and families enjoying the spring season. It was great to be part of this fabulous annual event! Thanks to everyone who gave the Smash Cage a shot, tried tennis for the first time and enjoyed it! Thank you to Tulip festival organizers, David, Craig Coleman and the team for facilitating this and adding the NB Roadshow to the list of exhibitors. The Roadshow was there to promote tennis to the community and encourage growth and participation in the sport, The fun also included swag, prizes, stickers, giant racquets and more! Shout out to Yonex’s Ted Thompson and assistant rep Joel Scully, who is also a U of O co-president, for doing a great job with demo racquets and helping to run the cage, helping to build the future tennis players and giving them a first-time fun and positive experience!

Introducing Yonex

Yonex designs and engineers their strings in their own facilities in Japan. They are dissected down to the tenth of a millimetre to ensure perfection in every single polyester string produced.

This relentless attention to detail, combined with complete control of the manufacturing process, allows Yonex to deliver premium strings with unrivaled consistency.
From power to precision and from spin to comfort, top-ranked players have found enormous success with Yonex strings. In fact, as of February 2023, 18% of the top 200 men and women on tour play with Yonex strings.

Today, we’d like to introduce one of their strings, POLYTOUR STRIKE. It’s a strong, durable string for players with medium-to-fast swing speeds who want long-lasting tension maintenance.
