About the Club

Cutten Fields has recently completed an extensive renovation to our 4-court tennis facility; this included a new dome, lighting and upgraded Har-Tru clay courts. We are looking for a Tennis Instructor. This position is a permanent, year-round opportunity that will report to the Tennis Development Coordinator. Hours of work will vary according to the operational needs of the Club and scheduled lessons and programming.

Job Description

Cutten Fields has recently completed an extensive renovation to our 4-court tennis facility; this included a new dome, lighting and upgraded Har-Tru clay courts.

They are looking for a Tennis Instructor. This position is a permanent, year-round opportunity that will report to the Tennis Development Coordinator. Hours of work will vary according to the operational needs of the Club and scheduled lessons and programming. Candidate must:

  • Be able to lead multi-court junior & adult programming;
  • Maintain private lessons with juniors & adults on an as-needed basis;
  • Execute tournaments and inter-club events;
  • Lead junior & adult round robins;
  • Place a strong emphasis on executing programming for members;
  • Assist with court enhancements;
  • Assist with organization and execution as Instructor for Junior camps;
  • March Break , Summer & Christmas Break
  • Planning programming, ensuring health & safety, etc.
  • Assess new members;
  • All other duties as required.

Requirements

  • A strong passion for tennis and helping members succeed in the game and actively enhancing their Club experience.
  • Previous tennis coaching experience;
  • Private Club experience preferred, but not required
  • Previous experience running junior and adult programming;
  • Experience working with all ages;
  • A good understanding of progressive tennis, developmental stages, physical literacy;
  • Quality candidate must be punctual, organized, reliable;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Work cooperatively with all members, staff & management;
  • Flexible working schedule - ability to work weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Tennis Canada Instructor/Club Pro Level 2 Coaching Certification or higher;
  • Valid First Aid/CPR C;
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Check.
