Overview 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and energetic Tennis Instructor to join our coaching 
team. The primary focus of this role is the delivery and development of junior tennis programming and 
lessons, with potential opportunity to focus on supporting and developing high-performance junior 
players. This position is a permanent, year-round opportunity that will report to the Head Tennis 
Professional.  

The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young athletes, understands the technical and 
developmental needs of junior players at different stages, and can create a positive, engaging 
environment that helps players build strong fundamentals while developing a love for the game. 
Hours of work will vary according to the operational needs of the Club and scheduled lessons and 
programming. 

Responsibilities 
 Lead multi-court junior & adult programming; 
 Maintain private lessons with juniors & adults on an as-needed basis; 
 Execute tournaments and inter-club events; 
 Lead junior & adult round robins; 
 Place a strong emphasis on executing programming for members;  
 Assist with court enhancements & daily regular maintenance;  
 Assist with organization and execution as Instructor for Junior camps; 
o March Break , Summer & Christmas Break 
o Planning programming, ensuring health & safety, etc.  
 Assess new members; 
 Complete administrative closing duties for Tennis Office; 
 All other duties as required. 

Requirements 
A strong passion for tennis and helping members succeed in the game and actively enhancing their Club 
experience. 
 Previous tennis coaching experience; 
o Private Club experience preferred, but not required 
 Previous experience running junior and adult programming; 
 Experience working with all ages; 
 A good understanding of progressive tennis, developmental stages, physical literacy;  
 Quality candidate must be punctual, organized, reliable;  
 Strong communication skills;  
 Work cooperatively with all members, staff & management; 
 Flexible working schedule - ability to work weekdays, evenings and weekends. 

Qualifications 
 Tennis Canada Instructor/Club Pro Level 2 Coaching Certification or higher; 
 Play at 3.5 level or higher; 
 Valid First Aid/CPR C; 
 Valid Vulnerable Sector Check.
