Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Tennis Coach (minimum Club Pro 1 certification) to deliver high-quality instruction and programming to our members. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and possess a strong understanding of tennis fundamentals and coaching techniques. This is primarily a winter indoor position,
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct private and group tennis lessons for various age groups and skill levels (children, juniors, and adults).
- Assist in the planning and execution of club programs, clinics, and events.
- Provide a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment for all participants.
- Evaluate player skills and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Demonstrate proper tennis techniques and strategies.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with members, guests, and staff.
- Assist with court maintenance and ensure a clean and organized facility as needed.
- Promote club activities and encourage member participation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Tennis Canada Club Pro 1 certification is mandatory. Higher certifications are an asset.
- Proven experience in coaching tennis to diverse age groups and abilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent ball feeding skills are an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic, punctual, and reliable.
- Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification is an asset.
- A passion for tennis and player development.
Working Conditions & Hours:
- This is a seasonal position for the winter indoor season, running from approximately October 1st to April 30th.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential.
- Additional hours may be required as needed based on program schedules and member demand.
- Potential for continued employment during the summer season.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
