Staff Tennis Coach

Salary Range: Based on Remuneration Chart/Experience
Reports to: Director of Racquets
Period of Employment: Mid-June to September 1st 2026

Position Summary: As a Staff Tennis Coach at our prestigious private country club, you will maintain private lessons for both adult and junior members, lead on-court sessions, and assist in organizing various tennis events and activities. Your role will also involve participating in our mentorship program and supporting the enhancement of clay courts. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct and maintain private lessons for adult and junior members. 
• Lead and manage adult and junior clinic court sessions.
• Teach adult clinics for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players.
• Providing a secure and productive learning environment for students.
• Help organize junior tournaments, junior Inter-Club events, and adult/junior round robins.
• Assist with the enhancement and upkeep of clay courts.
• Support the Tennis Department with various tasks as needed. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of all Level 1 requirements.
• Hold one of the following certifications: TPA Instructor, TPA Club Pro 1, PTR Level 1 Instructor, or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience teaching at the current certification level.
• Completion of the club’s remuneration point chart.
• Playing experience in tournaments, high school, or university-level.
• Racquet stringing experience an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent customer service abilities.
• High level of commitment, including attendance at development courses.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. A passion for tennis.
• Certification in complementary racquet sports (e.g., Pickleball) an asset.
