Tournament Park Tennis Club: looking to hire Certified Tennis Instructors and Club Pro’s for the summer of 2023.
About the Club: TPTC is a four court, City of Toronto, permitted community tennis club.
Tournament Park is a family-oriented club whose mission is to provide tennis facilities for our members in a friendly, welcoming environment. We also strive to promote the growth of tennis by providing tennis instruction to junior and adult members, and to run organized activities designed to accommodate all levels of tennis players within the community. We have been active in the Yonge and 401 area for years and have a very large active membership.
Job Description: The Instructors will be available for the 2023 Spring/Summer/Fall outdoor tennis season and will report to the Head Tennis Professional (Matthew Porter) for the season beginning in April and ending in late October. The ideal candidates will have an important role within the coaching team and should embody a passion for tennis, work well within a team environment as well as have the ability to work independently, have a strong work ethic with a flexible schedule to coach weekday afternoons, evenings and weekends, good communication/interpersonal skills with all age groups, ability to follow instructions, shows a desire and ability to improve the coaching standards and a track record of having a positive effect on members’ lives. Preference will be given to those with experience and aptitude for working with club players.
Private lessons to members are also a major component of scheduling at TPTC.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- minimum Certified Instructor/ Club Pro 1
- current and up to date TPA Certified with insurance proof (mandatory)
- experience coaching both adults and juniors
- up to date Vulnerable Sector Police Background/Criminal Check
- current First Aid/CPR
- friendly, caring, outgoing, punctual, reliable, willingness to improve and be on court all day
- flexibility to coach daytime, nights, and weekends
- ability to play with all levels up to 5.0
