Proset Inclusive Tennis is Looking to hire a certified Tennis Coach for the Winter 2024

Angus Glen indoor tennis courts, located at 3970 Major Mackenzie, Markham Ontario will be the location of our Tennis Program on Saturday mornings.

Qualifications and info

Proset Inclusive Tennis program is a specialized adaptive tennis program designed to serve many students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other abilities. We’re very enthusiastic to have you join our team and as such you will be able to teach and provide on-court instruction to junior ages and teens alike. Given our environment, our kids will have goals in which the coach will provide and in time you will see the change as we move forward with our tennis stars
The Head Coach will be available for the 2024 Winter indoor tennis season and will report to the Tennis Director for the season beginning Jan 13th for 3 months and ending June 29th, 2024.
The prospective coach should have an affinity for teaching children and with have a goal to improving motor skill functioning and the cognitive abilities. The ideal candidates should have good work ethics and work in a team with volunteers who have experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum along with parents who are assisting as well.
Our immediate need is for Coaches to work on the following days with a proof period of 1 month, January 13th ( Program Start) for 2 hours including direct coaching with students present.

Requirements

Minimum Coach level 1 by Tennis Canada
Must be able to facilitate programming for 50 members over 1 court balancing the scheduling of free play, clinics and lessons
Enjoy working with players of all ages and coaching group lessons
Develop program plans for each day, including coaching goals
Coach and develop the Junior Pros and volunteers to grow as coaches and players
Friendly and energetic with an ability to engage and motivate people and students
Be available for special events
Ability to work, or easily attain working status, in Canada
