Clubs Information
York Old Mill Tennis Club
York Old Mill Tennis Club (YOMTC) is a non-profit Toronto community tennis club located at 5 Catherine Street, at the east side of the iconic Old Mill Bridge stone bridge. We offer our members lessons, clinics, other programming, and an idyllic escape amidst an urban landscape. The club maintains a waitlist, and extends programming to the broader community via this waitlist when group lesson and clinic offerings are not filled by full members. We are governed by our membership through an elected volunteer Board of Directors.
In the summer the club offers reasonably priced and professionally run summer camps for kids of all ages with great ratios, friends, and fun. For details please visit the club website or email coaching@oldmilltennis.com
The club is located on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and situated on the banks of what is commonly known as the Humber River (Gabekanaang-ziibi, or "Little Thundering Waters") and is a place of historic significance and importance to the Anishnaabe, the Haudenosaunee, and the Huron-Wendat peoples, as well other Indigenous Peoples from many nations who now call this area home.
The Humber River watershed has been inhabited for thousands of years, long before the arrival of settlers. It was a place of significant commerce and connection, among nations, and later continuing with the arrival of settlers, and furthered the growth of the settlement at York/Toronto. It remains a place of natural beauty and a place of connection for many nations, who share a responsibility in its effective stewardship.
