After participants have had the opportunity to LEARN some skills on the tennis court, they should be able to test their new abilities in an open environment. The PLAY component can provide this chance for people learning for the first time!
Your nearest tennis club should offer club leagues, ladders, challenge match events, round robin tournaments, social mixers, doubles competitions, etc. By providing these competitive and fun environments, individuals can become motivated to continue on with the LEARN component.
As you progress through the stages of TRY, LEARN, and PLAY, you may begin to seek out more competitive environments. Individuals doing so can also compete on other circuits, such as the interclub leagues and OTA sanctioned tournaments.
