We are in search of a dynamic coach who has a proven track record working independently with a group of junior players and also one who functions well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will bring experience developing junior recreational players into tournament calibre athletes. Working within a team of five coaches, this coach will focus on the under-11 high performance players as well as adult group lessons and ladies teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be punctual, reliable and organized. Private lessons will be available on a limited basis.
Responsibilities
Coach High Performance players under the age of 11.
Coach Advanced players up to the age of 18.

Joshua Creek Tennis is a 6 court, year round facility located close to the Oakville/Mississauga border. The Club has an active membership and a very busy junior academy. We are now hiring for the following positions.
Junior Academy Professionals
We have a number of part time positions available for junior academy pros. We are currently hiring for our indoor season but once employed, opportunities may follow for our outdoor season also. Suitable candidates for entry level positions must have at least some teaching experience and certification but higher level positions will require more in terms of qualifications and experience.
Successful applicants will also be dependable, enthusiastic and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Tennis Administration
The Club is also hiring for an office/pro-shop position that will entail approximately 20 to 25 hours of work per week. The responsibilities include basic administrative tasks, managing junior academy forms and attendance, pro-shop organization and possibly racquet stringing.

Reporting to the Community Program Coordinator, the Community Program Supervisor will ensure the Angus Glen Tennis Centre operates effectively and efficiently while providing ample opportunity for participation by the community. Jane/Finch Community Tennis Association - Head Coach
The overall goal of the Jane/Finch After School Program is to contribute to the social development of the Jane/Finch community through tennis and educational opportunities.
The primary responsibility for this position is to oversee the tennis component of the after school program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Head Coach include:

Stony Lake Yacht Club seeks two highly qualified and experienced professionals to lead, manage and operate the SLYC summer tennis program, for the 2011 season, for the 8 week season of July 3 to August 26.
The Stony Lake Yacht Club (SLYC) Tennis Club is a community-run, summer tennis club offering accessible tennis play and programs to the Stony Lake cottagers’ community.
Responsibilities include:
1.Assist with planning the season’s programs prior to the summer start date, with the Director of Tennis.
2.Supervise and train 3 (junior level) summer student tennis professionals. (Summer tennis professional students will be OTA teaching certified, level #1 instructors certificates)
3.Manage and lead 3 established levels of children’s “junior start” tennis programs (red ball and orange ball “mini” net and green ball regular net), 2 weekly teen clinics and 7 weekly adult clinics.
4.Teach private and semi private lessons, as requested by members and schedule private lessons instruction for student tennis professionals, for beginner players.
5.Teach adult and junior high-performance tennis and develop a junior high performance program for 2012 and beyond.
6.Teach high performance men’s drills clinics 2 days per week.
7.Organize and help other tennis professionals run the annual Club Championships with setting up matches across all levels and monitoring matches during the tournament. (Club championships take place over 1 week in early August).
8.Managing the 3 student tennis professionals to ensure the successful execution of many day-to-day tasks, including, court bookings for equal access to courts for all members; preparing and maintaining courts and tennis hut daily; managing all billing and accounts receivables; organizing and maintaining accurate financial records.

The Senior Tennis Professionals report to the Director of Tennis who is a member of the Board of Directors for SLYC.
SLYC Tennis Facilities:
The tennis program operates on 2 tennis courts (hard court surface) surrounded by mature trees. The tennis club is situated on an island. Accommodation and boat transportation are provided, off-island. Internet access is provided at the staff tennis hut.
The club has 400 active members with a large adult section and over 100 children ages 4 to 16.

The Beaumaris Yacht Club (BYC) in beautiful Muskoka is looking to hire a motivated and energetic tennis instructor for the summer tennis season - Position to be filled immediately!
BYC is located in between Bracebridge and Port Carling on Lake Muskoka. It is a very unique private club with a relaxed feel.
The season begins June 20th and goes through to August 26th. The Instructor will be required to help run junior tennis camps - age groups 5-7, 7-9, 10-15 and junior events. He/she will also be required to help run afternoon adult clinics, assist with adult round robins and some weekend events.
The Instructor must have a minimum qualification of Instructor Level 1.

We run pro training clinics and host the May 21st Intl PTR certification workshop at our club (an opportunity to become certified). Transportation and close living in the West End/Mississauga/Oakville area is a priority. Opportunity to play/practice with top ranked college players.

Town of Aurora/Total Tennis is looking for a part-time Coach or Instructor
to join our team for spring, summer and fall, 2011.
Position start: End of April, 2011
The hours will be dependent on program registration and could amount to 5 to 15 hours per week in the spring and fall and 30 to 35 hours per week in the summer.
We are looking for a coach who is committed to junior development at the recreational level (5 to 18 years of age and beginner to advanced levels). The ideal candidate will be able to motivate the players to improve while executing a high tempo lesson plan each week. This position will have the coach working side by side with the head coach in 60 and 90 minute lessons where a structured lesson plan is provided. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be punctual, reliable and organized.
Schedule
Spring (May – June) & Fall (September - October)
Monday to Friday 4:30pm – 7pm
Saturday 10am-1pm
Summer (July – August)
Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm
Monday to Friday 5pm – 9pm hours available also
Qualifications
- Tennis Canada Instructor Certification or higher
- Minimum 1 year experience in a professional environment
