High School Tennis

Mini tennis equipment at a low cost

Whether you are new to tennis or a returning player, we have exciting news for you!

Welcome Centres are designated tennis facilities in Ontario offering fun and specially designed programs to introduce anyone to tennis through fun and easy tennis events. They offer events that are fun, low cost, focus on the fitness and social benefits of tennis while mixing in some competitive play situations.

Welcome Centres are growing stronger and more vibrant tennis communities across Ontario. How? By finding new opportunities in your community to make possible you try tennis; schools, festivals, fairs...you name it.

Welcome Centres implement the TRY, LEARN and PLAY components into their programs. So as your game develops you easily progress through the pathway from the first try to beginner lessons to some serious match play!

Welcome Centres have now formed a network of tennis facilities in Ontario welcoming new players to tennis. Click above to find the nearest facility to you.

Welcome Centres believe that is important that the first experience people have with tennis is fun and positive one. Otherwise, who wants to be picking up tennis balls all over the court over and over again?

The OTA assists Welcome Centres in setting up free try events in their community, where people can try tennis with graduated equipment through fun games and drills. We use mini tennis nets, light beginner racquets from Wilson, and easy to manoeuvre Speedballs from Dunlop.

Browse through the website and if you have any questions concerning how to participate in your community, please contact David Lea, Community Tennis and Education Manager at

It is our intention not to change your community’s tennis programs, only to help to strengthen them by providing resources, training, brand awareness and incentives for growing participation.
